Timeless Taupo was established in 2009 and utilises one of the newly designated "local commercial licenses" that were auctioned by the New Zealand government in May 2008. The station broadcasts on 106.4 FM with an EIRP of 2kW, providing a coverage area which extends from Atiamuri and Rainbow Mountain in the north, to National Park and the Desert Road in the south.Timeless Taupo is Taupo's only privately owned commercial radio station and features an 'Adult Standards' format, playing music from artists such as Tony Bennett, Frank Sinatra, Ella Fitzgerald, Perry Como, Elvis Presley and Connie Francis.
